Get Organized is a book I wrote to help other entrepreneurs on taking their first step. I leave my WHY in the beginning section of the book called the Front Matter.

“In my journey of entrepreneurship I have found many individuals who have no direction. This is my attempt at providing a miniature road map to help get people started. This is in no way legal advice, I am sharing what I feel like would have helped me starting off.”

So hod did I write it? I wanted to break down the complexity of business structuring into easy to understand language. I also wanted to dispel some of the uncertainty that comes with trying something new. As I’m sure you have experienced at some point along your journey.

Breaking it Down
I used a softer tone and approachable language style that includes encouragement and reassurance. I did this because most people want to be invited to do something instead of told to do something. The vocabulary staying simple was intentional because by doing this it add’s emphasis to the terminologies used in business. With this target audience (The New Entrepreneur) I thought it best to leave the flare and dramatic writing style at home.

Dispelling Uncertainty
So often we hear the hardest step to take is the first one. Which for many is true. I decided to play off that concept by recognizing and acknowledging the reader in the beginning. Impostor Syndrome plagues Entrepreneurship, so giving an activity allows me to guide the mind of the reader to taking another step.

The rest of the book you see examples of this leading of the reader along. Not getting too far into the weeds, while also trying to keep things simple and relatable. Letting the readers know that going out and talking with the professionals is key, as it allows another actionable step to lead them further along in their process.

If you got the book for yourself or others, dissect it and see if you can spot the other moments of analogies or structures being incorporated.

~Enjoy the process, because it’s the process that makes the thing.
